A mass of storm clouds was captured by the International Space Station (ISS) Expedition 1 crew members earlier this month orbiting the Earth at an altitude of 240 statute miles. The picture, made with the Electronic Still Camera (ESC), was the first Earth observation still image downlinked by the three-man crew, who entered space to join ISS on October 31st aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. In early December space shuttle Endeavour and her crew will be the first of three shuttles that will visit the Expedition 1 crewmembers during their four-month stay on the Station.
