What is Starship 2040? It's NASA's vision demonstrating what commercial spaceflight might be like 40 years from now. The Starship 2040 exhibit is housed in a 48-foot tractor trailer, permitting it to travel around the nation. To accomplish the goals of Starship 2040, NASA will require revolutionary advances in key aerospace technologies - advances now being investigated, developed and tested at various NASA field centers and partner institutions. Visitors will board the "ship" and move through "mock ups" of the control, passenger and engineering compartments.

In the coming weeks, the exhibit will travel to Washington D.C., (May 16-18) and will make public stops at visitor centers at NASA’s Goddard Space Center in Greenbelt, Md., (May 19-21) and NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., (May 23-25).
