A sky like this means it's time to close windows and move to cover. This shelf cloud marks an area of downdraft and outflow from an approaching storm front in northeastern Wisconsin. Within minutes of this photo, wind gusts of 40-50 mph announce the arrival of the storm, which included only a small amount of rain.
