An isolated thundershower silhouetted against the dusky sky is the result of a rapidly moving frontal system that brought much needed rain to parts of northeastern Wisconsin this past week. July rainfall was less than a third of normal this year, but August rainfall slightly exceeded the monthly average. The photo shows how localized the rain may be - despite the ominous sky, only a few hundredths of an inch fell on the photographer.
