This photo of Tucson, Arizona and the surrounding area was taken in December 2001 by the Expedition Four crew of the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the Crew Earth Observation research program. Tucson appears as a bright area south of Mount Lemmon and west of Mica Mountain. Agricultural fields are on the left side of the image, and the bright spot west of the Santa Cruz River and Mount Wrightson is a copper mine.
