The above image was taken from the SeaWiFS satellite this past Sunday (June 23) and shows the pall of smoke from the western fires, which has spread over much of the US and Canada. Even on a continental scale, the smoke from the terrible fires over in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado are fairly easy to discern. Also note the smoke over Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Significant fires have also been burning in portions of the Canadian prairie provinces for several weeks.
