Wood Frog Follow Up

The above photo is a follow up to Earth Science Picture of the Day on May 8 (Wood Frog Egg Mass). This picture of the froglets was taken on April 25th, 12-13 days after the original egg masses were laid. Even though a good number of the egg masses were still intact, this handful of pond water shows that some of the little critters were successfully hatched.
