I decided to take a photograph of a water droplet falling from a tap in my home in Manchester, England, and was surprised to learn of the "beaded" nature of an individual water droplet. Note the reflection (inverted) of the scene from each of the drips and drops. See also the Earth Science Picture of the Day for March 31, 2007.

Photo details: Canon Powershot S40 digital camera, tripod mounted, 1/100th second exposure.
