This gorgeous little waterfall was photographed deep inside the Tillamook State Forest, in the Oregon Coast Range (west of Portland, Oregon), in early May of 2001. It just happens to be tucked in an out of the way spot, and very few people seem to know of its existence. Practically every stream flowing in an east to west direction in the Oregon Coast Range moves over former lava flows and or previously buried rock formations. Uplifting has exposed many of these formations. This results is a high concentration of waterfalls, both large and small, named and un-named.
