The ominous looking cumulonimbus cloud formation pictured above while not tornadic in origin, nevertheless, produced a vigorous spring shower on this early spring morning. This photo was taken near the village of Bazel, Belgium on April 9, 2005. April is normally a month with frequent showers in northwestern Europe, and on occasion some of the stronger squalls can bring snow and ice and a rumble of thunder too.
