The appealing photo above showing hummocky terrain with early spring wheat was taken from atop Steptoe Butte, a volcanic "plug" in southeastern Washingon. Variegated views from this location change with the growing season and give an excellent perspective of the undulating, post volcanic topography. Photo taken in May of 2006.
