Crepuscular Rays Over Ghazvin, Iran

The photo above showing a dreamy scene of crepuscular rays and their reflection and ponderous clouds was captured in Ghazvin, Iran, on November 8, 2007. Though the beams appear to diverge toward the horizon, they're actually parallel to each other. If you look down railroad tracks, you'll notice the same effect. The clouds disappeared shortly after this shot was taken and with them went the rays. The lake in the foreground is used for irrigation.
