The photo above shows a breathtaking double rainbow observed from the New Forest Observatory in the U.K. As the Sun was setting on this lovely scene, a proud primary and secondary rainbow appeared after a spring shower moved through the area. Since some light is lost each time a reflection occurs, the secondary rainbow is only about 43% as bright as the primary bow. The New Forest Observatory is at bottom right.
