The photomontage above shows the International Space Station (ISS) transiting a slender crescent Moon as observed from Kriaritsi Beach in Chalkidiki, Greece. This view of the ISS was captured on June 3, 2011 at just about local noon. What's especially interesting about the montage is that it was imaged in broad daylight when the Sun was but 27 degrees away from the Moon.
