The photo above shows a good example of hydrophobicity -- the beading of water on an oily surface, such as a leaf. You can see the peculiarly high contact angle of the dewdrop on the leaf's hydrophobic surface. The ant gives some idea of scale. Note also that the blue sky is reflected in the drop. Water drops act like a simple lens. Photo taken on May 12, 3013, in Vinchio d'Asti, Italy.
