While photographing various waterfalls in Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania, this lovely falls caught my eye.  What I liked about it was that it was flowing over a recessed rock ledge. The 1.5 second exposure I used captured a small whirlpool that can be detected at far right. It's slowly spinning as a result of the falling water and the natural flow of the stream. Over time, this slow but steady whirling action grinds away at the rock, undercutting the ledge behind the falls. Photo taken on June 20, 2014.
