Shown above is the fast-flowing and unspoiled Samburiel River in central Spain. The Samburiel's source is on the southern slope of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Also referred to as the San Muriel River or the Navacerrada River, it's a tributary of the Manzanares River that flows through Spain's capital of Madrid. The Samburiel's small watershed lies within a protected nature reserve -- the Parque Regional de la Cuenca Alta del Manzanares. Photo taken on April 3, 2015.
