I was able to capture this lovely landscape photo on my way to Palakkad (Kerala), India. The Palakkad to Coimbatore train route in one of the most fascinating rides in southwestern India. The area featured here is known as the Palakkad Gap in the Western Ghats mountains. This low elevation passage (460 ft or 140 m), between the Nilgiri Hills to the north and the Anaimalai Hills to the south, is followed not only by trains and auto traffic but also by the Bharathapuzha River as it flows to the Arabian Sea. Photo taken on July 22, 2017.
