Salisbury Crags, shown above, is part of Arthur's Seat, a prominence that overlooks Edinburgh, Scotland. An ancient Paleozoic lava dome, formed by an extinct volcano system, it stands 823 ft (251 m) and offers exceptional views of the Scottish capital. Lying just east of the city center and about 1 mile (1.6 km) from Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat is quite popular for hill walking. Photo taken on August 17, 2017.
