This photo shows two crossing jet contrails high in the air above the mountains. The contrails are formed when the hot exhaust gasses from a plane cool and quickly condense water vapor in the air, forming an artificial cloud. The low angle of the sun in the sky highlights these specific contrails by putting the mountain in shadow.
