This photo of the waning crescent Moon in daylight was captured at 17:25 Universal Time (UT) above Memphis, Tennessee on November 21, 2003. Due to a very transparent atmosphere, I was able to see and photograph this sliver of Moon with little difficulty -- the box was added to highlight the Moon. If you know where to look, several of the planets and even a few stars can be seen with binoculars during the daylight hours.
