On the same afternoon that yesterday's Earth Science Picture of the Day (Reflected Circumzenithal Arc) was photographed, an impressive halo display later arose. The photo above is a composite from 8 individual images. As indicated, the following arcs and circles can all be identified; circumzenithal arc, the 44° and 22° halo, the parhelic circle, and finally the upper tangente arc.
