I was slowly idling along the southern waters of Lake Marion, South Carolina early on this spring morning and just had to take a picture of this beautiful lake sunrise. In the foreground is an Osprey's nest in a small Cypress tree. The glitter patch of sunlight results from reflection off of the small wavelets. Note that in the foreground, the larger wake waves, disrupt the reflections. This part of the lake is near the Diversion Canal, which connects Lake Marion to Lake Moultrie, about 25 miles (40 km) North of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. A Kodak DX4530 5.0 megapixel digital camera was used to take this picture.
