The above photo showing a rather sullen sunset was taken in August of 2002 from Bembridge, Isle of Wight, U.K. Crepuscular rays glimmering through the multi-layer clouds and sunlight glinting off the water on this overcast evening create a contemplative setting. The mainland (England) is about 5 miles (8 km) beyond the horizon (to the right of the picture), and to the left is the English Channel.
