This photo showing a captivating sunset was taken at Chardonne, Switzerland on March 5, 2005. Chardonne is a little village near the town of Vevey (the Swiss Riviera), on the northeastern shore of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), in the background. The rose colored sky streaked with purple clouds, reflection of the low hanging Sun off the lake and the snow covered vineyard make for in an attention getting scene. Note that the orange glitter patch is more than a simple reflection of the Sun. Rather, it results from multiple reflections off the rippled surface of Lake Geneva.
