This sparkling sunrise occurred over Skane, Sweden on February 13, 2006. The ice coated trees (rime ice) resulted when a shallow slab of frozen fog gripped the pre-dawn landscape. Daybreak is certainly an appropriate term on this winter's morning -- the Sun here has moved into the clear slot between different cloud layers.
