The photo above shows a handsome sunset taken from southern Arizona earlier this winter. High-altitude cirrocumulus clouds almost always make the sky look better, especially at sunset or sunrise when fading sunlight plays off the mackerel (fish scale) skies. An imposing cottonwood tree silhouetted against the twilight sky and a dimly lit pond accent the scene.
