On the afternoon of June 7, 2006, thunderstorms rolled through the Midwest with the approach of a cold front. Near Mason, Ohio, northeast of Cincinnati, while fortunately there were no severe storms, the sky was certainly worth watching, and it appeared to be looking back. A break in the cloud cover as the Sun was nearing the western horizon, made for this ominous "eye" in the western sky. Image taken with a Sony DSC F717 at ASA 100 and f/8.
