The photo above shows a bridge that was dislodged by flooding which occurred in New Hampshire from May 12-15. Over 12 inches (30.5 cm) of rain drenched parts of the Granite State during a 4-day period, causing record flooding in central and southern portions of the State. Just 9 months earlier, portions of this same area were devastated by a slow-moving storm system that produced widespread flooding across northern New England. Despite the wall of debris that pressed against it, the bridge actually remained intact.
