The photo above featuring Yosemite Falls was taken in Yosemite National Park, California in June of 2006.

Moonlight has produced a "moonbow," seen between the upper and lower falls. The Moon is directly behind the camera. Notice the star trails of the Big Dipper in this time exposure digital image -- the North Star(Polaris) is to the right. The great granitic batholith was exposed by continental glaciation thousands of years ago.
