Although I had doubts about photographing the partial lunar eclipse earlier this month, due to the low altitude of the Moon from my geographical location (near Athens, Greece), the Greek gods were with me and allowed for a rather stunning event. The weather was nearly ideal, so the viewing conditions were quite good in spite of the low lunar altitude. This digital mosaic is centered on eclipse maximum as well as partial stages 30 minutes (before/after and during the umbral stage) and 60 minutes (before/after and during the penumbral stage).
