The photo above showing a fine display of crepuscular rays was taken on the Isle of Man, U. K. towards the end of the day when the Sun was playing hide-and-seek with the clouds. Approximately 2-dozen rays can be seen fanning across the sky. The sunlit and shadowed rays are all parallel, but because of the effects of perspective, they appear to converge to the Sun. Photo taken on April 28, 2007 from North Kirk Michael, Isle of Man.
