The above photo shows a compression fault feature in Lake Bonneville sediments as observed in a new foundation at the Davis Area Technological College in Kaysville, Utah. The sediments are unconsolidated, alternating fine sand and clay layers. In addition to the faulted offsets at the center, the layers show compressional features that are different wave forms of folding. Click on image for larger view. Photo taken on February 25, 2008.
