The photo above shows the buttery full Moon climbing over Antelope Island in Utah's Great Salt Lake. It was taken out the window of a Cessna 172 aircraft at sunset on August 24, 2010. Note that the full Moon rises with the Earth's shadow or onset of nightfall (dark strip just below the Moon). The uppermost portion of this shadow is accented with the rosy glow know as the Belt of Venus. Tonight and tomorrow night, the full Hunter's Moon shines above.
