February 2015 Viewer's ChoiceI first noticed the Aran island of Inis Mor in 2003 on a flight from Europe to the United States. The top photo shows Inis Mor island from cruise altitude. I was so impressed with this view that I promised myself to visit the island at the first opportunity; which came in 2007. The bottom photos show the intriguing geology: a glaciokarst limestone landscape some 350 million years old (left) and fossils of the rich marine life (right). Lower photos taken on August 19, 2007.
