Shown above is Glacier Point (7,200 ft or 2,195 m) in Yosemite National Park, offset by the waxing, gibbous Moon. I noticed this interesting pairing as I was walking back from exploring Yosemite Valley. The beautiful granite wall of Glacier Point is lit here by the late afternoon Sun. Photo snapped from Half Dome Village (formerly Curry Village) approximately 3,200 ft (975 m) below the cleaved peak, on July 12, 2016.
