After three days of rain, snow and strong winds, the weather finally improved enough to allow me to see the snowy mountains of central Evia (Euboea), Greece. Mount Dirfis, the highest peak on Evia Island (5,719 ft or 1,743 m), is bathed in alpenglow. The Sun has already set at the base of the mountain, but the peak holds on to the Sun's last rays, yielding this eye-catching sunset. Photo taken on December 2, 1018.
