The photo above shows crepuscular rays and their reflection on the still waters of Albufera Lake, Spain. This large, but shallow freshwater lagoon, near the city of Valencia on Spain's Mediterranean coast, is the centerpiece of Albufera Natural Park. Though an estuary some 400 years ago, its waters were eventually diluted by a series of canals dug for irrigation. It's now one of the most biologically diverse areas in all of Spain.
