Shown above is a fantastic halo display I observed from Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), Italy. The Dolomite Alps are in the background. I was at the entrance stairway of the primary school where I work when I captured this photo, on December 5, 2014, at 12.40 p.m. Click here to see an annotated version of this photo. Phenomenon listed include a 22-degree halo, sundog, upper tangent arc, circumzenithal arc, parhelic circle and the infrequently observed Parry arc and supralateral arc.
