This photo of the night sky and local surroundings was captured from the Star Park Hohe Dirn, a planned dark sky nature reserve near Reichraming, Austria. Traces of light can be detected everywhere you look on this 20-second exposure; the daisy meadow (bottom), fireflies (lower right), a fireball (far left), meteors (upper right-center and lower left-center) and the glow of the Milky Way (center). The bright object just to the right of the Milky Way is Jupiter. To the lower left of Jupiter, in the midst of the Milky Way, is Saturn. The Austrian Alps can be seen in the far background. Photo taken on June 26, 2019 (at 23:41 local time).

Photo Details: Canon 6 D Nikon camera; 14 mm lens; f 2.8; ISO 4000; 20-second exposure.
