São Miguel is a volcanic island, in the Portuguese Azores island chain, that’s sometimes called the Green Island. A mild climate and ample rainfall contribute to the humid forests and green fields found here. I was lucky to capture this rainbow when I stopped by one of the island’s most beautiful vistas, Santa Iria. From this vantage point, the blue Atlantic Ocean extends as far as the eye can see.
