Seen above is the setting waxing crescent Moon as observed over San Francisco Bay, California. The passing clouds were beautifully illuminated as the Moon disappeared beyond the hillside. Additionally, on this midwinter’s eve, earthshine was particularly noticeable. Photo taken January 15, 2021.
