Navajo Sandstone formations in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument of northern Arizona are spectacular, particularly when contrasted by an azure blue sky. The most famous feature is The Wave (permit required), but nearby lie the North and South Teepees (no permit required); which can be accessed from the same trailhead as The Wave. Featured above is a view of the North Teepees taken from the south.
