Featured above is the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex and the Antares Nebula in the constellation of Scorpius that I observed on May 10, 2024, from near Lunada, Spain. According to Greek mythology, the arrow of the Archer points directly at the Scorpion's heart represented by the red supergiant star Antares -- lower left center. The area about Antares is one of the most spectacular in the night sky. Above Antares is the triple star system known as Rho Ophiuchus, which is engulfed by a large blue reflection nebula.
